Lora Cooley grew up in Athens, Ga., and graduated from the Terry College of Business at UGA in 1984. Upon graduation, she worked in sales in Atlanta and Gainesville.
She soon turned to her true passion, educating young children. She has been a public elementary school teacher for almost 25 years, and is currently a pre-school special education teacher for the Hall County School system.
She received her Master’s Degree in Education from the University of North Georgia, and her Educational Specialist’s Degree from Piedmont University. She and her husband, Jody Cooley, have two adult girls, and one son-in law. She enjoys reading, hiking, biking, exercise, cooking and travel, and is an active volunteer.
